Our Shared Vision
Our approach to therapy is not to use just one school of thought but rather to choose the most effective method for resolving your particular problem. How we do this is guided by our philosophy of treatment:
- Each individual has the right to be treated with respect, compassion and understanding
- Each individual is important and unique
- A person should not be defined by their problems; the emphasis should be on an individual’s strengths and the focus on the future
- Therapists and clients should work in collaboration to help the client achieve their goals
- Life is to be enjoyed
- Fun is not a four letter word
- There is no one right way to achieve your goals
- It is the therapist’s responsibility to provide an empathic, attentive, non-judgmental presence
- There is much to be gained from considering the best approaches from both Western and Eastern perspectives on psychotherapy
